« Music instruments and insignia imperii in Etruscan cities. Evidence from literary sources ». Several passages of Strabo and Silius Italicus underline the importance of music in the politic life of Etruscan cities. They are related to the problem of the Etruscan origin of the symbols of power held by Roman magistrates, the insignia imperii.
