In 2024, Kaunas Benedictine Convent will celebrate its 400th anniversary. Throughout this period, the convent’s existence has not been interrupted. In Soviet period During the Soviet period, from 1948 to 1988, the convent operated in secret. However, the archives of the convent a newly began to be organized at the beginning of the 21st century revealing important documentation not only for the convent, but also for the monastic research.
