La mise en désir des territoires par l'œnotourisme

In just a few years, wine tourism has become a must to respond to the wine crisis and to built the tourism attractiveness strategy for a territory, thus sliding a territory of production, the wine appellation, to a territory of recreation, the tourist destination. It changes the vocation of the territory at least and its representation.The wine tourist is both consumer and producer of landscape. He is an indispensable actor of it. He participates in the relationship between the landscape, its representation and wine tourism; creativity implemented by the actors to make the territory desirable is its testimony. Therefore, we propose to approach wine tourism as a hedonism based above all on a search for otherness (the encounter with the other as well as with oneself), extra-temporality and heterotopy. This hedonism is part of a quest for sustainability, at least a virtuous wine tourism. It is not only a social and geographical phenomenon, but it is also a system of values and the reflection of our society.To better understand its territorial implications, we relied on the systemic theory of Georges Bertrand (Geosystem- Territory-Landscape) adjusting it to the viticultural world (Vitisystem-Territory-Landscape), thus proposing a new wine system reading grid. This grid reports on the complexity and also the uniqueness of the viticultural territories. It allows to better understand the process of setting a territory in desire, that relies either on the experiences proposed in the field of wine-tourism-heritage, where it accompanies the already established reputation of a vineyard, than wine-tourism-culture where it helps to make it known.L’œnotourisme est devenu en quelques années un passage obligé pour répondre à la crise viticole et pour construire la stratégie d’attractivité touristique d’un territoire, faisant ainsi glisser un territoire de production, l’appellation viticole, à un territoire de loisirs, la destination touristique. Il modifie l’usage du territoire tout du moins dans sa représentation.L’œnotouriste est la fois consommateur et producteur de paysage. Il en est un acteur incontournable. Il participe de la relation entre le paysage, sa représentation et l’œnotourisme. Et la créativité mise en œuvre par les acteurs pour mettre en désir le territoire en est le témoignage. Aussi nous proposons d’aborder l’œnotourisme selon un nouveau paradigme : l’œnotourisme est un hédonisme basé avant tout sur une recherche d’altérité (la rencontre avec l’autre comme avec soi-même), d’extra-temporalité et d’hétérotopie. Cet hédonisme s’inscrit dans une quête de durabilité, tout du moins d’un œnotourisme vertueux. Il n’est pas seulement un phénomène social et géographique mais aussi un système de valeurs et le reflet de notre société.Et pour ancrer territorialement, notre recherche, nous nous sommes appuyés sur la théorie systémique de Georges Bertrand (Géosystème-Territoire-Paysage) en l’adaptant au monde viticole (Vitisystème-Territoire-Paysage), proposant ainsi une nouvelle grille de lecture pour le système viticole. Une grille qui permet de rendre compte de la complexité mais également de l’unicité des territoires viticoles.Nous constatons que la mise en désir d’un territoire s’appuie sur les expériences proposées tant dans le champ de l’œnotourisme-patrimonial que de l’œnotourisme-culturel, permettant ainsi soit d’accompagner la notoriété déjà établie d’un vignoble soit de le faire connaître
