Vegetable oils are key excipients in the pharmaceutical field thanks to their biocompatibility, biodegradability and solubilizing properties. Indeed, they can be used through numerous routes of administration, they meet growing environmental constraints, and they provide effective solutions for the solubilization of poorly water-soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients. These vegetable oils can also be chemically engineered to provide further properties.The aim of this dissertation is to functionalize vegetable oils using silica-based molecules in order to enable their solidification into microparticles through a sol-gel process.
