The problem of planning and scheduling the sensors of an airborne platform can be likened to an active perception problem with maximization of the environment knowledge and optimization of resulting sensors actions. The problem of decision-making entails the need for an architecture within the decision algorithms, the products of the sensors and the data allowing their interpretation are organized as efficiently as possible while being in conformity with the constraints brought by the context. The products of the planning phase must then be executed with minimal delay by the sensors and thus require a reactive and efficient scheduling adapted to mission criticality and the complexity of the environment.
