A Two-day seminar which generated many of the ideas on which the documentary series are based. Held in King's College, Cambridge University on 22, 23 July 1999 This seminar has six sessions. This series takes a more ambitious, global view, bringing together a small group of international academics in an attempt to solve the puzzle of why the Machine Age took place where and when it did.
