Es wird ein Konzept zur Rechtschreibförderung vorgestellt, das den Einsatz visualisierter Lösungsalgorithmen systematisch mit verbalen Selbstinstruktionen kombiniert - und dadurch die Aneignung orthographischen Regelwissens von vornherein mit der Modellierung geeigneter Handlungsstrategien verknüpfen und beide Lernprozesse optimieren will. Die praxisbegleitende Kontrolle von zwei Kohorten rechtschreibschwacher Kinder und Jugendlicher, deren Förderung über einen längeren Zeitraum durch den systematischen Einsatz von visualisierten Lösungsalgorithmen und verbalen Selbstinstruktionen erfolgt war, hat durchweg hochsignifikante Leistungsfortschritte nachweisen können.
