Reading comprehension is key for school achievement. It is also the root cause of many long-term difficulties. This situation is often worsened for pupils with serious educational difficulties. In a context of inclusive school this report shows how the detailed analysis of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) linked to a specific work on reading strategies allows a 10 years old pupil to progress in reading comprehension of narratives. To improve skills in reading comprehension, the experimentation establishes several activities focusing on reading strategies and developing the ability to produce inferences while giving adapted tools to answer the SEN.
