Screening Auditivo

The early detection of hearing loss is of great importance in order to establish an early hearing rehabilitation, and thus achieve normal language development. For this reason, hearing screening programs have been developed, which began in cases of risk factors for hearing loss. The objective of this work is to review the hearing screening programs, the techniques used, the results of the main programs and the reasons that justify a universal scree-ning.La detección precoz de la hipoacusia tiene gran importancia para poder instaurar una rehabilitación auditiva temprana, y de esta manera conseguir un desarrollo normal del lenguaje. Por este motivo se han desarrollado programas de screening auditivo, que comenzaron en casos de factores de riesgo de hipoacusia. El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer una revisión de los programas de screening auditivo, las técnicas empleadas, los resultados de los principales programas y los motivos que justifican un screening universal
