The Hippo pathway controls organ growth by regulating the nuclear activity of the transcriptional coactivator Yorkie (Yki). Yki binds to sequence-specific transcription factors to regulate target gene expression, including the TEAD/TEF family transcription factor Scalloped (Sd).
