The research work recorded in this paper was part of an investigation undertaken for the following reasons: (a) It was necessary to acquire data about the relationship which exists between electrical conductivity and concentration of concentrated solutions of hygroscopic salts, in connection with hygrometrical investigations of Dr. A. Norman Shaw. (b) The variation of the temperature coefficient of conductivity with the temperature was also required for a greater range of concentration than was available in existing tables. (c) The existing data on record for the conductivity of concentrated solutions of hygroscopic salts were found to be meagre and in some cases conflicting. (d) Recent theories in regard to the concuctivity of concentrated...
