Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major public health concern due to its growing incidence as well as the resulting physical, cognitive, social and emotional consequences. Exercise may promote the alleviation of TBI-related sequelae. However, there is a lack of information about the exercise experiences of individuals with TBI after rehabilitation. This Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) explored the facilitators and barriers to exercise through the experiences of seven individuals with a severe TBI who live in the community. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with participants to explore post-TBI exercise in the post-rehabilitation period.
