The IEEE 802.11p based Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) protocol is akey enabling technology for enhancing road safety and transportation eciency, and isbeing seriously considered by major research centres and automobile manufacturers. Wire-less Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) 1609.4 is a new amendment that enablesmulti-channel operations in DSRC. Operating intervals are divided into alternating ControlChannel (CCH) Intervals and Service Channel (SCH) Intervals, which halves the durationof channel intervals and operating interval.
