In this dissertation, I argue that the phenomenological tradition develops an ontological redefinition of the subject’s individuation based on operative intentionality. I explain how this redefinition offers a new approach to world’s perception (vision du monde) and intersubjective relations that is paradoxically neither reflective nor representational. This new approach rests on a perceptive imaginary relying on prereflective and embodied processes. Yet, this configuration exhibits the parallel development of the individuation of the subject and its expressions, thanks to a relational ontology that bears epistemological and ethical outcomes.
