In any experiment the variables being studied are subject to certain variation. The total variation is caused by many factors and the problem of separating this variation in several components, each one - except the last - assigned to a specific source, is the abject of the statistical technique known as Analysis of Variance. The last component, known usually as experimental error, is the variation which we are unable to account for. By designing the experiment in proper way and by eliminating the effect of known factors, we largely increase the sensivity of the experiment
