The cross section for the reaction O16(p, alpha)N13 was measured by comparison with the known cross sections for the reactions Cu63 (p, n)Zn63, Cu63 (p,pn)Cu62. A maximum value of 52 millibarns was obtained at a mean proton energy of 12 Mev. Cross section values for the reaction O16 (p, pn)O15 were determined up to proton energies of 25 Mev. At this energy the cross section is 170 millibarns and is still rising
