In this thesis, we study photon production and photon-hadron correlations at next-to-leading order (NLO) in proton-proton collisions, in both the cases of isolated and non-isolated photons. To begin, fundamentals of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (pQCD) are reviewed, with an emphasis on describing how to compute spectra for single particle production and correlated pairs at both leading order (LO) and NLO in hadronic collisions. In particular, a discussion of infrared and collinear singularities at NLO will provide a natural introduction to the concept of factorization.
