The patterns of recreational engagement and health related quality of life (HRQL) of school-aged children with High Functioning Autism (HFA) are not well understood. The objectives of this study of children with HFA and their typically developing peers were to: compare their recreational profiles; identify child-based factors related to recreational participation; and, estimate their HRQL in relation to recreational engagement.
