X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analytical methods have been developed to determine Mn, Fe, Cr, Co, Cu, Ni, Zn, Ba, and Pb contents in manganese ores. Standards were prepared from 7 reference samples analyzed by ICP and synthetic samples because the silicate standard samples of GSJ can not be used to analyze the manganese ores. Pellets were prepared by mixing 2.5g of samples and 3.5cc polyvinyl alcohol solution, and were subjected to a pressure of 5,000kg per square cm. Brief geochemical interpretation shows that manganese deposits in the Tokoro Belt have been considered to be formed by submarine hydrothermal activity.
