Current meter and meterological instrument data are typically stored in the instrument on cassette tapes. Seadata, described in this report, is a PC version of the original CARP program (CAssette Reading Program) which transferred the data and prepared it for further processing. Also described are two programs which provide byte swapping which is necessary to use the PC data on a VAX/VMS computer.
