This article examines the applicability of Postactivation Potentiation (PAP) for the specific development of performance capacities in rugby players. We illustrate how a potentiating stimulus can induce a PAP response in vertical jump, sprint, and upper-body performance. We provide insights regarding the optimal structure of a Strength-Power Potentiating Complex (SPPCP), specifically exploring the intensity of the potentiating stimulus and the optimal recovery duration between the potentiating stimulus and the subsequent performance. Moreover, we discuss how the potentiating stimulus type and player\u27s strength level impact the effectiveness of the SPPC. Finally we offer examples of specific SPCCs for rugby
