Experimental results of the particulate contaminant distribution of resuspended particles inconvection flows from different heat sources with different ventilation systems and layoutsare presented. It was concluded that the ventilation system did not resuspend particles fromthe floor, walking in a contaminated area however did resuspend particles and a large numberconcentration of fine and ultrafine particles was measured in the breathing zone of personsimulators (sitting on a chair, in a wheelchair or lying in a bed). The geometry of thesimulators and the layout of the room had a big influence on the exposure.
