In this paper, the possibility is explored that the polarity effects observed in Somali are dependent on an abstract property of nominal number in this language, namely the fact that plural affixes are nominal categories which behave like other nominal affixes with a fixed inherent gender.Maqaalkan waxaa lagu baarayaa qaabka wadareynta magaca.
