Author suggested a substantial simplification of DRXL consisting in replacing the parabolic longitudinal groove by a cylindrical hole (cylindrical DRXL). In order to model the behaviour of the cylindrical DRXL and any other possible modifications, the new ray-tracing program PC6 was developed. This program takes into account the refraction phenomena occuring during Bragg diffraction. PC6 was used for the study of the sensitivity of DRXL performance on the alignment. In order to study various properties of diffractive-refractive X-ray optics we performed 7 experiments where various types of DRXL were realized first and tested in various synchrotron radiation facilities, mostly in ESRF.
