This thesis deals with mathematical and computational models of soft tissues, such as connective or muscle tissue. Two basic modeling approaches are discussed. The classical homogenization approach is extended and applied for modeling heterogenous media undergoing large deformations. The second part of the work is focused on macroscopic modeling of soft tissues where the anisotropic mechanical properties reflect complex structures comprising fibrous components and the matrix.Available from STL, Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
