The research run for a 5-year period with pupils of 10 elementary schools in the area of southern Bohemia and Moravia. With regard to data backup and a subsequnt using of the results in the schools, the complete classes were diagnosed. 118 girls and 127 boys took part in the research. A questionnaire (Q) method was used. The pupils always filled in an Q in October and in May. The same Q was set to PE teachers as well. The Q was standardised for a research at elementary and high schools and universities in 1993. Its coefficient of stability ranges from 0,81 to 1,00. In the used Q the following fields are diagnosed: sports events, gymnastic, track and field activities, sports games and tourist activities, activities classified according to predominating movement skills and orientation, sports-technical activities. The organized and non-organized physical activities in leisure time are also found out. We have completed the Q method finding the pupils' sports interests with monitoring of their real physical activity (by means of the electronic instrument Caltrac and the pedometer Omron) and by diagnostics of this activity structure. The feedback to pupils, teachers, parents and headmasters of the elementary schools includes the structure of the sports interests and their physical orientation, the pupils' taking part in an organized and non-organized physical activity, comparison of volume and intensity of physical acitivity with the classmates's results, an assessment of physical acitivity including a recommendation for positive changes in a one-week programme.Available from STL Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
