Developmental toxicity of many agents has been studied in the scope of their cell-cycle and cytotoxic effect. In CP teratogenesis, the dose-dependent relationship between cell-cycle perturbation involved in cell death and subsequent malformation, was proved in rat embryos. The genotoxic effect of CP, resulting in subsequent cell death of afflicted cells and in depression of proliferation activity is probably the principle cause of the general embryotoxic effect.Text also in EnglishAvailable from STL, Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
