Management and evaluation of highway drainage system stormwater.

The study deals with the quantity and quality of the highway runoff collected by highway drainage systems. The purpose of this research is to manage and evaluate highway runoff collected through highway drainage systems. This evaluation will assist in implementing a cost-effective and efficient program for managing highway runoff. The study includes two main paths of analysis: an analysis of field data, which are measured to evaluate the existing management systems and to determine the size of the problem, and a simulation of the problem causes, using the SWMM model and suggesting solutions of these problems. The observed and simulated removal efficiencies reported in this study provide a basis for evaluating and/or suggesting the Best Management Practices, which can manage and mitigate the adverse impacts of highway runoff.Available from STL Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
