Hudba piaristickych skladatelu na Morave a ve Slezsku v 17. a 18. stoleti.

The thesis deals with the musical education in piaristic monasteries in Moravia and Silesia and gives information about piaristic componists. The study takes up the critical edition and the thematic catalogue of musical compositions of Moravian and Silesian pianist monasteries. These deal with compositions of the not well-known order members. The edition was published in the co-operation with the Moravian Museum Brno, the Kromeriz Castle archives and the District Archives in Novy Jicin. The transcription was made in a modern note-recording program and was used at the 2000 and 2001 festivals of the Baroque music. The concert presentation proved that the compositions produced by the members of the pianist school order, which had had a decisive impact on the musical education of most Czech musicians, were of great culture value. Moreover, there were only a few students of the pianist schools who received a further education in music. Regarding cantors, due to their geographical isolation, preserved the type of musical expression which they had learned at local schools when young. This musical expression includes a large complex of interlocked motifs, which are of key importance for the Baroque culture in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia.
