The synthesis of 5-alkyl-6-alkylsulfanyl- resp. 5-alkyl-6-arylsulfanylpyrazine-2-carboxamides and corresponding thioamides and hydrazides is reported in the submitted dissertation thesis. All the prepared compounds were tested for their antimycobacterial and antifungal activity. Compounds showed relatively low activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv, in comparison with standard (rifampicin). The most potent of them were compounds with thioamide moiety at the position 2 of pyrazine ring. Antifungal activity of the prepared compounds was rather low. The highest activity showed compounds with amide moiety at the position 2 of pyrazine ring.
