Estudo da competencia de diagnostico e prescricao pedagogica em tarefas desportivas caracteristicas do atletismo

In this work we tried to study some diagnostic and perspective teaching abilities, in the attempt to clarify the relationship between them. We study the ability to identify execution errors, selecting the main difficulty and determining its origin or cause, in a diagnostic moment, and we studied also, in a second moment (perspective phase), the ability to provide useful feed-backs and remedial activities to solve the technical problems. We related, also, these abilities with several individual features. Our research design was based in a video-inquiry and in a structural interview for data gain about diagnostic and prescriptive abilities. We tried to established relations between dependent variables and between dependent and independent variables in several levels. The sample was 80 coach or teachers, with different personal, academic and professional backgrounds. Data was treated by means of uni and multi-varieted statistics. The different efficiency level between groups was studied in detail. Individual differences that affect this professional ability are Academic Education, Athletes Experience, Coach Experience and practice Level. Teacher experience and kind of Practice do not affect the results. We observed, also, a higher efficiency level for the specialists, followed by experienced teachers, student-teachers and monitors. The causal error determination is the more difficult decision in the diagnostic process and there are no differences between groups in this aspect. We concluded, also that academic education means more efficiency, that professional experience does not mean increased competency. Athlete experience level, practice level and kind of practice are also studied. The findings showed a relation between diagnostic and perspectives abilities, with some particularities between groups.
