Full scale field tests show that Gee-Clough model is suitable for traction on wet clay soils on the Instituto Superior de Agronomic farm located at the Tapada da Ajuda, particularly when Cone Index measured at 150mm depth (C_150) is used. Numerical analysis of the standard driving tyres (A8*) at maximum loads for fields speeds up to 30 km/h, gave a more simple form for mobility number as R_M*=0.01 C_150. Typical values for tractor driving wheels performance parameters as a function of the soil conditions (C_150) is presented in a form of a table, performed by the simplified model equations.
