This work refers a computer FORTRAN program elaborated for the computation of the elasto-plastic state of stress and strain in soil masses, using the finite element method. The program considers the case without pore water pressure dissipation and that with coupled consolidation (Biot theory). The program considers geometric variations of the domain as the time goes on, allowing the analysis of embankments and excavations (retained or not). The steady - state seepage through a porous medium can also be analysed. The model used allows combinations of finite elements, infinite elements, joint elements, bar elements and spring elements. There is also possibiblity of considering media which have saturated and unsaturated zones. Along this work ...
