The thesis is concerned with the development of the hydrometallurgical route of complex sulphides processing. A general view of the perspective valuation of the complex sulphides as a raw-material of non-ferrous metals, the existing mineral and metallurgical processing routes, development and/or implementation of hydrometallurgical processes, namely chloride leaching, is given. A survey of the mineral and hydrometallurgical operations for obtaining and treating the concentrate being studied, some characterization techniques applied to solid products and/or liquid and methodologies used in design experiments, analysis and interpretation of results are presented.
