THE REPRODUCTION BIOLOGY OF THE ORCHIDS IN THE CRIMEA

The object of investigation: the Crimean representatives of the Orchidaceae family. The work is aimed at studying the seed productivity and productivity of the pollen of the Crimean orchids; at giving the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the successfull seed multiplication and renewal of some Crimean orchids in populations. For the first time, the connection of the indicators of the seed and pollen productivity of the orchids with the stigma area and phytomass of the flower, the degree of differentiation of the ovule, the method of the pollen perception by the stigma and the peculiarities of the pollen. The factors, reducing the seed productivity of the orchids of the Crimea, have been established. First, the seed productivity and the productivity of the pollen of 29 species of the orchids of the Crimea have been established. The developed methods of determination of the seed productivity have been approved on the farm-significant representatives of families Orobanchceae and Scrophulariaceae. The application of these methods significantly accelerates and improves the accuracy of determination of the seed productivity.
