Weldability and methods for improvement of quality of welded joints of polymeric materials

The data on weldability of the basic kinds of polymeric materials, heterogeneous ones included, was systematized. The importance of chemical bonds in welding was proved. The principles of improvement of quality of connection of thermoplastic materials during welding in melt by means of modification of welds, optimization of construction and localization of the heat were developed. The new technologies of welding of new groups of polymeric materials, namely hardened thermosetting plastics, vulcanizates and new combinations of polymeric materials, were also developed.
