KIN COTTON GRASS (ERIOPHORUM L.): SYSTEMATICS, GEOGRAPHY, EVOLUTION

The object of investigation: kin cotton grass (23 species and 6 subspecies). The purpose of the work: the determination of species composition of kin Cotton grass in the world scale, building up the new system of the kin, revealing the laws of the geographic species spreading, the development of the cotton grass evolution questions. The species composition of kin Cotton grass has been determined, the new system of the kin has been developed, first of the most part of the kin investigated have been the anatomy structure of the pericarp and testa, pollen grains of 10 species. For the first time, the suppositions about the centre of the kin origin, the directions of evolution iside it, have been said. Compiled have been the keys for the determination of species, subspecies, the descriptions of taxons of all ranges, the most of all kinds of areals in the world scale and for the Russia territory. The results can be used in preparation of Floras and in lectures courses. The obtained results will facilitate the more exact identification of the kin species.
