The purpose of the work: revision to the systematic position of the skink lizards of the Caucasis and contiguous to it countries; studying their geographycal variation and the ecological features of species. For the first time, the revision to the skink lizards of the Transcaucasia has been performed. The new diagnostic characters and their complexes have been found. For the first time, the geographycal variation of the golden mabuia and the longlegged skink has been studied. The taxonomic status of the populations and the intraspecies forms has been established, the map of the species and subspecies areals has been drawn up.
