The object of the investigation is compositions of highly-efficient polymer and polymer-clay muds with controllable rheologic properties for unstable clay deposit conditions and high-quality stripping of producing strata with the aim of increasing the drilling rates and reducing the construction costs of holes. Analytical, laboratory and field studies of rheologic and filtration properties of various compositions of polymer fluids have been made.
