There the study object is the wave-meter buoy. The purpose is to develop the engineering methods to design the wave-meter buoy with the hydrostatic indicator of pressure. The mathematical model of heaving of buoy with regard to the extension of cable hawser the measurement method for the shallow water as well as the design methods of error and of construction of instrument have been developed. Two wave-graphs have been developed; one of them has been certified by metrology and is in use as the working aid to measure the seas.
