A scanning reflecting acoustic microscope, its use for the investigation of a structure and non-disturbing control of dielectric materials are considered in the paper aiming at the possibility investigation of the expansion of the practical application of acoustic microscopy and the increase of a class of the objects investigated. As a result the theoretical analysis of the formation of an output signal for an acoustic microscope has been held. Some new methods of its work, methods extensing essentially the diagnostic possibilities of an acoustic microscope, have been suggested.
