A new structure of a rotor-vacuum film evaporator used for intensifying the concentration of liquids containing biologically active substances has been developed and investigated. A mathematical model has been constructed; on its basis, an apparatus design algorithm block-diagram has been devised to permit the optimization of the process. Dependences of the main physico-chemical and thermophysical characteristics of coniferous medicinal extract on the temperature and concentration have been established. Based on the carried out investigations and the constructed mathematical model, a prototype of the rotor-vacuum film evaporator has been worked out and produced; it can be used in pharmaceutical, food, microbiologic industries and other bran...
