New representations about control of a furnace process with the stepwise combustion of fuel have been obtained in the paper. The automatic control system for the combustion of a pulverized-coal fired boiler has been created on their base. The methodology for the adjustment of a multiconnected automatic control system applicationly to the furnace process considered has been suggested. Variants of schemes for the NO*00x content control in flue gases have been developed as well as methodologies of their adjustment under industrial conditions. Technical solutions and recommendations have been introduced into operation.
