Subject of investigation: process of steel out-of-furnace treatment on ladle-furnace plants. The work offers a method of the optimization of the out-of-furnace parameters and develops a physicochemical model of hydrogen behaviour in the atmosphere-slag-metal system. The investigation provides for the development of the procedure for determining the hydrogen content of liquid metal and alternates of processes of structural steel out-of-furnace treatment depending on the purpose of steel.
