The object of the investigation is machine parts, production tooling and equipment. The purpose is the solution of the problem of technological provision of physical properties of the surface layer, wear-resistance and fatigue strength of machine parts. Theoretical propositions concerning the control of the physical parameters of the surface layer condition at the design stage of the production process have been worked out. A CAD system of the production process used in making high-reliable machine parts has been developed.
