Variations in ultrastructure of hemato-liquor barrier of mammals during adaptation to the alpine conditions

The central nervous system, vascular plexus, ependyma cells, mammals (yaks, cows, she-goats, rabbits, hares), have been investigated. The work is aimed at studying the ultrastructure manifestations of the adaptation process in the ependyma cell to the conditions of the Alpine plateau of the mammals aboriginals. The methods of investigation: light- and electronic microscopy, morphometry of the cell and its organelles. Given has been a morphofunctional characteristic of the ependyma cells of the vascular plexus of the mammals with the genotypic, phenotypic adaptation to the alpine plateau and of inhabitants of the lowland genotypically adapted to it. For the first time, an examination of the ultrastructure of the pendyma cells with the different degree of adaptation to the highland conditions has been performed. The morphological criteria of the adaptation process of the mammals to the highland have been developed. Th developed criteria give the possibility to prognose the ultrustructural changes of the mammals with respect to the highland.
