Investigation into cytostatic preparations capable of producing alkylation effect and antimetabolytes (pharmaceutical analysis and pharmacokinetics)

The investigation is concerned with cortiphene, testiphenone, oil solutions thereof, 5-fluoruracyl, fluoraphur, injection solutions, ointments and suppositoria containing the above enumerated preparations. The object of investigation is comprehensive development and refinement of the methods of analyzing antitumoral preparations in assessing the quality thereof for studying the pharmacokinetics of the medicinal forms of the preparations under investigation. The researchers have elaborated scientific basics on comprehensive determination of hormonocytostatics by the functional groups and considered the possibility of defining pyrimidine derivatives as phenols and well-groundedly substantiated the applicability of such approach. The investigators have pioneered in studying the pharmacokinetics of the new medicinal forms of cytostatics and carried out complete functional analysis of alkylating preparations of cortiphene and testiphenone as well as 5-fluoruracyl and fluoraphur. Moreover, the researchers have formulated and disclosed projects for the production of new medicinal forms of 5-fluoruracyl and fluoraphur before the Kazakh Committee for Pharmacopoeia and introduced revisions to the project concerning cortiphene oil solutions. The obtained investigation results have been introduced for analysis at the chemicopharmaceutical laboratory of the Research Oncological Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. The disclosed methods allow controlling the high quality of the said medicinal preparations and the processes of production and purification of cytostatics.
