The purpose is the development of the equipment for complex studying high-strength structural steels to guarantee reliable predicting their service, as well as the investigation of the criteria of destruction of these materials in the temperature range from 4,2 to 300K under static and quasistatic loading conditions. Dislocation and thermal mechanisms of a step-wise plastic deformation at cryogenic temperature conditions, and variable loading rates have been proposed.
