Purpose of the work: theoretical investigation of a three-electrode capacitance U-shaped primary microdisplacement converter and development of primary converters with the optimum parameters. An accurate formula is derived for the first time for calculating the capacitance of the model of a U-shaped three-electrode primary converter with five arbitrary parameters. Calculations are made for the optimum parameters of the main types of the primary microdisplacement converters. A coplaner primary converter is designed.
