The biological effects of the tumor-necrotizing alpha factor (TNF) and synthetic peptides from its composition corresponding to the amino acid sequence 1 - 12, 103 - 113, 123 - 131, 126 - 136 have been studied. The metabolic activity of the macrophage in HCT-test has been studied; the products and secretion by the TNF macrophages have been studied. The cytotoxic test has been applied. Among four studied peptides from TNF composition only the peptides 123 - 131 and 126 - 136 reproduced the stimulating TNF effects on the macrophages. The same peptides decreased the sensitivity of the macrophages to the stimulating TNF influence. The peptides 123 - 131 and 126 - 136 didn't possess the cytotoxicity inherent in the whole TNF moleculeAvailable fr...
